Starkville Oktibbeha County School District (SOCSD) Clothes Closets

About

The Starkville Oktibbeha County School District (SOCSD) Clothes Closets, primarily stocked with donated gently used, school dress-code* items, provide an immediate change of clothes for children in case of an accident while at school, and a supply of clothing and personal hygiene items for social workers and counselors to assist families in need. Volunteers are needed to donate clothing and hygiene items, to help weekly to organize and keep the closets in order, and to help with the fall & spring clothing drives at the schools or run independent drives. Gently used or new dress-code* pants, shorts, skirts, and shirts; any style shoes, coats, jackets, and sweaters; as well as new socks, underwear, personal hygiene items, and laundry supplies are needed. Donations are welcome year round. All sizes, from 3T to adult XXL, are requested. (*The SOCSD dress code includes khaki and black pants, shorts, and skirts, and yellow, white, gray, and black polo shirts, as well as school district T-shirts. Non-dress code clothing and shoes in all sizes, from infant to adult, as well as diapers, wipes, and personal hygiene and laundry supplies can be donated to the clothing closets at the Emerson Family Center or the J.L. King Center.)
